Keiger Printing Company Receives Best of Catagory Awards in 2003 PICA Awards Competition
January 8, 2004Keiger Printing Company, Inc. of Winston-Salem, NC received awards in the 2003 PICA Awards Competition, hosted by the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA), Incorporated.
PICA headquarters are in Charlotte, North Carolina. The PICA Awards program is the most prestigious symbol of printing excellence throughout North and South Carolina.
Despite a slow economy, more PICA members participated in the 2003 awards program than the year before. Almost 100 printing companies and high school and collegiate graphics programs submitted close to 1,200 entries. Only members of PICA, a 70-year-old trade association for the graphic communications industry in North and South Carolina, may participate in the competition. Keiger Printing Company received two Best of Category Awards. One Best of Category winner was for the Mission St. Joseph's Mailer designed by Cassels-Caywood-Love that was printed in 4 colors. The other Best of Category winner was for River House Winefest Poster, digitally printed in process color for Chara Everett.
PICA is a trade association representing the graphic communications industry in North and South Carolina. North Carolina ranks as the 13th largest state print market in the United States with 1,122 total printing establishments and 30,040 employees. South Carolina ranks as the 31st in the nation with 415 establishments and 9,461 employees.
