Keiger Printing Company, Keiger Direct Big Winners at 2009 Xerox Best-of-the-Best Contest

With two winning entries and an honorable mention, Keiger Printing Company and its personalized marketing division, Keiger Direct, brought home more awards than any other member in the Xerox Premier Partner Graphic Network – an international organization of 750 businesses.

The goal of the Xerox Best-of-the-Best Contest was "to search out and recognize today's most innovative, results – generating applications being produced with Xerox digital production technology." Entries were judged not only on conceptual creativity and aesthetic beauty, but on how well they offered a practical solution to a real-world business challenge. There were ten entries chosen as the Best-of-the-Best, and six entries awarded honorable mention. The awards Keiger brought home are:

  • Winner in the Direct Marketing category: Keiger Direct's Salem Shines campaign for Salem College, a personalized cross-media campaign which increased response rates by 303%, while operating with a budget reduction of 20%. It incorporated mailers, postcards, brochures, emails, personalized URLs and a YouTube video. The campaign was orchestrated by LYNX•Unlimited, Keiger Direct's cross-media marketing product. The designer for these pieces was freelancer Carrie Leigh Dickey.
  • Winner in the Collateral category: Keiger Printing Company's brochure for The Budd Group Landscape Services, designed by Capture Public Relations & Marketing. Gorgeous color photographs and crisp graphics were beautifully presented on a felt paper that conveyed the texture of the natural theme. The challenge of getting clear, sharp images on a rough substrate was very successfully met.
  • Honorable Mention in the Offset/Digital category: Keiger Printing Company's brochure for Integrated Advisory Services, designed by PAVE Creative Group. The piece consisted of two versions of an offset-printed, semi-wrap cover scored and die-cut, wrapped around digitally printed inserts and secured with brass grommets. The complex brochure contained heavy solid images that required flawless color matching between the two presses, along with many production steps that required excellent organizational skills.
